About Us

10 Years of Quality Content & Excellent Customer Service BlogPortfolio
Founded by Troy and Valerie Mellema, a husband and wife team, Words You Want was born September 2006 in Amarillo, Texas. Valerie was hard at work trying to start a career as an equine journalist when she realized that what the Internet world really needed was web content, SEO articles and blogs to help drive traffic to websites. It doesn’t matter what type of website you have, you have to keep it current, fresh and you’ve got to write to market yourself. Now located on Lake Fork in Yantis, Texas, Words You Want was developed from the customer service expertise of Troy and the love of writing from Valerie. Together they have worked to form a writing and SEO company that is focused on the needs of the client.

Troy was born and raised with Southern values and learned that to get anywhere in life, you’ve got to work hard. Starting his first job at 12 years old, as a K&N car hop, he learned the foundation of customer service. An award winning salesman, he has worked extensively in sales and customer service positions, and uses that knowledge each day as he trains and prepares writers to provide quality and consistent content. Everyday Troy’s brain sweats to ensure Words You Want consistently outperforms their competitors.
